Some medical or academic background is helpful but not a must. Many of Prof. M. Krames' students have been ordinary lay men/women with different backgrounds, who now work as health consultants. If you have already studied Ayurveda at a university, you may consider our intensive course as post-graduate studies. In any case it will open doors for you when working abroad - or domestically, if you live in a western country already. There is no age limit.
Those of you who are compassionate, patient listeners & careful observers, with a pure intention to help others, usually progress fast & pass the examination at the end. Latter one is the main criteria to obtain the certificate. The best students are given a chance to participate in another test at The Open University of Colombo who issues an additional University Diploma, if desired so.

Course fee (for whole 2 weeks)

Each course is ltd. to max. 12 students in order to ensure personalized coaching. Applications are processed on a "first comes, first serve" basis. Your short bio data is required. The fee for the entire course is US$ 2.200- A 15% discount is given to participants from India. Detailed payment instructions will be e-mailed to you after admission is granted. A 10% advance pay is then requested.

ACCOMMODATION

Travel arrangements can be done by students or by us, which is a free service. In Sri Lanka we work with 2 hotels:

Hotel A is half a minute from the lecture hall, with fairly large rooms, attached bathroom, TV, balcony and a large garden to it. Half board is only $ 35.- for single occupancy.

Hotel B is a 5-star hotel in 3 min. walking distance at $ 95.- B&B. Both places are 1 hr. from Colombo Airport and located near the ocean, with 24 hrs. room service. Details reg. pick up etc. will be e-mailed later on.

The concept and arrangements for courses in Germany, UK, Australia and other places are different and under preparation. Please inquire if you are from such countries. However, most students confirmed that it helps to get away from home, thus leaving work or family issues and cell phones behind and to fully focus on the training. A different environment adds to accept new ideas, too. Without letting go our old thinking, we cannot adopt new one. The peaceful, natural and clean environment near the ocean further adds to finding peace of mind and exploring ourselves. In Sri Lanka we shall visit a spice garden, a botanical garden and a tourist health resort as well (incl. in the fee). Further to this, a number of foreigners will join, to allow consulting and practising on them.

A new academy will open in Brazil shortly for students from Canada and the US (only 2 hrs time difference).
